The Mahinestan Raheb Traditional Hotel, one of the old houses of Kashan in the center of Darb-e Bagh neighborhood and in Fazel Naraghi Street, was registered on August 10, 2005, as one of the national monuments of Iran. This house which dates back to about two hundred years ago and the middle of the Qajar period and which is also known as Shah Yalani was renovated in 2010 under the supervision of Mr. Seyed Akbar Heli, Professor of Iranian Architecture, three years later, the renovation of this building was completed.
This residence is originally the house of Shah Yalani and has a completely historical texture. Mahinestan Raheb’s historical house has been selected as the most luxurious historical residence by the Cultural Heritage Organization.
The combination of modern facilities with the historical atmosphere of this house is an interesting experience for travelers that is not normally achieved in daily life. Actually, these two contrasting elements have provided a very pleasant stay for guests. Elderly people and families with young children should note that the traditional residence of Mahinestan Raheb has a number of stairs in different parts, including the entrance to the rooms.
Mahinestan Raheb has three separate courtyards an inner courtyard, an outer courtyard, and a servant’s courtyard. This traditional residence consists of 16 rooms, of which 12 rooms are located on 2 floors, inside the main living area, 3 rooms are located inside a separate private area and another room is located outside the complex.
Rooms with traditional stained-glass windows, original architecture, high domed ceilings, and traditional decoration will leave an unforgettable memory in your mind. The hotel rooms have also a refrigerator, air conditioning, minibar, safe deposit, private bathroom, and toilet.
The most important hotel facilities include free internet, free parking, 24-hour reception, an elevator, a coffee shop, round-trip transfer, and a traditional tea house. In the traditional restaurant of the hotel with a capacity of 50 people, you can taste a variety of Persian, local Kashani, and seafood dishes. The architecture and design of the hotel space have been maintained in the same original form during the renovation. So, the Mahinestan traditional Hotel has architectural spaces including two basements, a Shah Neshin (the biggest and the most important room), a Hashti (entrance porch), and a Badgir (wind tower), summer iwan, winter iwan, etc. The traditional atmosphere of this building, such as its framing, plaster paintings, water basin (called Hoz in Persian), and other elements of traditional and original Iranian architecture has given a special calm to this space.
The distance (by car) from the hotel to historical and tourist places and important centers of Kashan traditional city is as follows: to Kashan airport 22 minutes, to Kashan railway station 12 minutes, to Aghabzorg mosque of Kashan 3 minutes, to Kashan Ameri House 3 minutes, 5 minutes to Safavid Grand Bazaar, 16 minutes to Fin Garden and Fin Bathhouse and 72 minutes to Abyaneh. Within a short distance, you can also visit places such as Tabatabai Historical House and Boroujerdi Historical House.
