Lut Star Eco Camp is a recreational residential complex located in the beautiful village of Malek Abad in the heart of the Lut Desert in Kerman Province, the largest province in Iran. This eco-camp was inaugurated in 2018. The historical castle and caravanserai of Shafi Abad which belongs to the Qajar period and was registered as one of the national monuments of Iran, the spectacular village of Sirch, Polvar mountain, Chahar Farsakh Spa, and Keshit waterfall are the most important and spectacular attractions of this region. The camp distance to the center of Shahdad is 20 km and to the center of Kerman is 110 km.
It is also 122 km from the Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani International Airport of Kerman, 117 km from Kerman railway station, and 114 km from the bus terminus. To reach the camp, you can enter the Shahdad-Nehbandan road from two kilometers of Shahdad to Mahan road, and after 15 kilometers and passing through the villages of Ebrahim Abad and Dolat Abad, you can enter the road leading to the camp. Autumn and winter are the best times to visit this region.
Lut Star Eco Camp has 35 luxury accommodation units and is equipped like a four-star hotel with suitable amenities. These units are mainly in the form of tents and a small number of concrete structures similar to tents, which are located in a beautiful and lush palm grove so the existence of this palm grove makes the Eco Camp unique in its kind.
To the right of the entrance of Mahan Star Eco Camp is a large tent, which is a coffee shop that offers a variety of hot and cold drinks. Behind the reception, a tent is the camp’s restaurant, run by several local women. You will reach the tents by walking in the grove.
All accommodation units have facilities such as a kitchen, electric kettle, iron, wardrobe, TV, bathroom, and toilet. As soon as you enter the tent, you will encounter a very modernly designed kitchen counter, which has a dishwasher and a number of plates, cups, and glasses, and an electric tea maker, tea bag, and Nescafe. The bathroom is equipped with hygiene and cosmetics packages such as shampoo, soap, toothbrush, comb, and towels.
Outdoor parking, fluent English-speaking staff to guide non-Iranian guests, a local tour guide, internet, Wi-Fi in the lobby, and split heating and cooling are also among the facilities and services of Lut Star Eco Camp. Among the recreational facilities of Lut Star Eco Camp, we can mention the four-wheeled motorcycle track, the possibility of safaris with Hiluxes with professional drivers, ballooning, and camel riding.
