Iran is one of the Middle East’s best-kept secrets for winter sports. Thanks to the towering peaks of the Alborz and Zagros mountain ranges, the country enjoys excellent snow conditions, modern ski resorts, and breathtaking alpine scenery throughout the winter season. With elevations exceeding 3,500 meters, many resorts offer long-lasting natural snow, spectacular mountain landscapes, and a variety of slopes suitable for skiers of all skill levels. From internationally recognized resorts near Tehran, such as Dizin, Shemshak and Tochal, to the scenic slopes of Pooladkaf in southern Iran, every destination offers a unique skiing experience. Visitors can enjoy well-maintained pistes, modern lift systems, professional ski schools, equipment rental services and comfortable mountain accommodation while discovering a side of Iran that many international travelers have never experienced.
Whether you are an experienced skier seeking challenging runs or a beginner looking for your first winter adventure, Iran’s ski resorts provide the perfect combination of outdoor excitement, stunning natural beauty and warm Persian hospitality. Beyond the slopes, visitors can explore traditional mountain villages, enjoy local cuisine and admire panoramic snow-covered landscapes, making a skiing holiday in Iran an unforgettable winter experience.
To enjoy a safe and comfortable skiing experience, proper equipment is essential. Most major ski resorts in Iran offer rental services, but experienced skiers often prefer to use their own gear. We recommend wearing waterproof clothing, insulated gloves, ski goggles, a certified helmet, and suitable thermal layers. Sunscreen is also important, as UV exposure is stronger at higher altitudes.
Tip: Our team can assist with ski equipment rental, resort transfers and selecting the best destination according to your skiing experience.
Always ski within your ability and follow the marked pistes. Wear a helmet, check the weather and snow conditions before heading to the slopes, and use equipment that fits properly. Beginners should consider taking lessons with certified instructors, while advanced skiers should avoid off-piste areas without experienced local guides.
Good to Know: Our winter programs include carefully selected ski resorts, comfortable accommodation and reliable transportation, ensuring a safe and enjoyable skiing holiday.
