Dizin Ski Resort
This area is the largest Iranian ski resort. It is located in the Alborz mountain range, about 70km north of Tehran. It was established during the sixties under the reign of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.
The ski season lasts from December to May, due to its high altitude. The highest ski lift reaches 3,600 m (11,800 ft), making it one of the 40 highest ski resorts in the world.
This International Ski Resort is the first ski resort in Iran to be approved by the International Ski Federation to hold official and international competitions and become international.
It is located north of the Tehran Mountains (Gajereh), 123 km from Chalus Road and 71 km from Shemshak Road.
Among the ski resorts around Tehran, this ski resort is the first and best option for skiing. It is also the most equipped ski resort in Iran. It has 4 traps, 2 traps, 9 plate skis, and 1 hammer trap. In summer, It is also used for skiing on the grass.
Tochal Ski Resort
Tochal is a mountain and ski resort located on the Alborz mountain range, adjacent to the metropolitan area of Tehran in northern Iran. It includes a 12-kilometer-long ridge.
Its highest peak, also called Tochal, is at an elevation of 3,933 meters (12,904 feet). A gondola lift runs from Tehran to this ski resort and hotel, all as a part of a Complex. glide on Snow and enjoy a memorable time in this resort.
Shemshak Ski Resort
The ski resort of Shemshak is located 57 kilometers northeast of Tehran. It entered service in 1958. This resort includes two ski lifts and three parabolic telesis. Shemshak Resort, immediately after Dizin Ski Complex, achieved an international title in 1996, shortly after corrections to the snow trails.
Leisure facilities such as two hotels and four restaurants have been fitted out to accommodate sports fans. The highest point of the field is 3050 m, while the lowest point is 2550 m above sea level. The length of the ski season in Shemshak is variable from November to early April.
Abali Ski Resort
Abali ski resort is the oldest ski resort in Iran and is located in Tehran province. This resort, which is located on Haraz Road near the city of Abali, is the first ski resort to be equipped with lifting equipment. Five ski slopes, cable cars, ski lifts, six restaurants, a ski school, medical facilities, parking, tennis courts, horseback riding, and jumping are some of the facilities of this complex.
Abali resort is the birthplace of modern skiing and the foundation of skiing in Iran, which is used for skiing from early January to late March. Its highest point of it is 2650 m and its lowest point is 2400 m above sea level.
Pooladkaf Ski Resort
Pooladkaf is a ski resort 2810 to 3231 meters above sea level located in the south of Iran, 90 km from Shiraz, and 15 km from Sepidan. There is a cable car with a length of 2100 m as well as surface ski lifts. The ski season in Pooladkaf usually starts from December 1 to the end of March and sometimes this period extends until April.
Due to the considerable precipitation in this region which is about 1000 mm in 6 months, some years 3 meters of snow accumulate at the bottom of the station. The motivating point of this resort is the strong sunshine even in January and the reasonable price of services.
Alvares Ski Resort
Iran’s largest ski resort, which is located at the foot of Sabalan Mountain in Ardebil province, 12 km from the village of Alvares and 24 km from the town of Sarein, in the northwest of the country. Since the ski resort is located at an altitude of 3 miles 200 meters above sea level, it is used for about 8 months of the year due to heavy snowfall in the fall and winter, which is the first in Iran.
To climb the mountain, Alvares resort has facilities such as lifts and chairlifts. But in general, the reason for Alvares’s uniqueness is not its facilities, but the geographical location in which it is located.
